Every year, Myanmar Youths in Action organizes youth camps so that youths can gain more knowledge, increase interaction, and to encourage youths to take part in social works. For 2013, our youth camp will be held at Inle Lake in Shan State. We have currently selected the date to be from January 4 -6, 2013.
Inle Lake is a freshwater lake located in the Nyaungshwe Township of Taunggyi District of Shan State, part of Shan Hills in Myanmar (Burma). It is the second largest lake in Myanmar, and one of the highest. There are many NGOs in Inle Lake who are doing environmental projects.
During our trip, we will be doing study tours at NGOs in Inle, study the waste handling system there and assist them, and learn more about the Inle Lake region. There will also be fun group games.
We are inviting all youths between the age of 18 and 35. All applicants must be active players in youth work and volunteerism working for the society. Applicants will need to have basic knowledge on environment protection. All selected participants will need to pay 35,000 Ks., which will cover transportation and accommodation.

- To educate the youths the impact of waste on the environment
- To analyze waste management at Inle Lake
- To create networking strategics and enhancing youth capacity
